Salvation Army Leader’s Tour Advocate, Tuesday 23 March 1943, page 2
Of Brigadier C. J. Brimblecombe, officer in charge of The Salvation Army in Tasmania (1943)
“… In a second meeting in the evening, he took as his text, “Fear God and keep His commandments.”(Ecclesiastes 12 & 13). “The Christian life.” he said, “is not a complex affair, but one to be lived according to this simple watchword. There is no problem or difficulty which appears at the moment that cannot be overcome when there is a wholehearted acceptance of God and a holy, purposeful determination to live by this rule.”
Makes me think of Commissioner James Knaggs’ axiom “Be holy & show up for work.”

Lt. Kathleen, you constantly encourage and challenge me in being the best Soldier/Officer.
Today I am reminded to keep the vision for Ulverstone Corps simple and alive. I am spurred on by the tales of yesteryear, the hard fought battles won in the Leven and to keep on marching faithfully and valiantly.
To remain true to the gospel, holy and vigilant.
May we see His Kingdom come
Yours Under the Flag
Lt. Kat
